I rarely watch TV these days (not being able to afford cable or dish) but I will say that I'm a die hard LOST fan. I like the show because it's very cerebrial and keeps me guessing. Not many shows out there (besides what's on PBS) keep me entertained in such a way. Plus it's actually films in Hawaii. Here are a few things I have figured out over the past seasons that have not been mentioned:
The bad numbers (also the numbers on the hatch, and the numbers Hurley played, the numbers that were repeated after the French woman's distress call, and the numbers that have to be punched into the computer): 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42 = 108.
108, the number of minutes that it takes until the code (4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42) needs to be imputed into the computer before something happens (or not). Put "8" and "15" together, makes 815, as in Oceanic Flight 815.
23 ~ Survivors of the tail section
42 ~ Survivors with Locke and Hurley's group (including -1 for the death and +1 for the birth)
8 ~ Pieces of chicken Hurley ate.
8 ~ Numbers of tail survivors left.
8, 23 & 42 are three sets of numbers from the bad numbers: 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42.
I think it's going to be an on going thing about the numbers (and in the past) the numbers will have something to do with the expalination of the ending. I mean why keep repeating the numbers. Numbers mean something in this riddle.
Also, what did the Walt say in the vision? It was backwards "Any button will be ok. All the buttons are the same."
16 is also the number of years the french woman has been on the island. Her daughter has been seen working with the others (she's now a teenager).
I think the "smoke monster" manifests itself into what it's victims precieve it. I think the smoke with the faces in it, is it's true form. The faces are the victims memories and thoughts. As if it's reading their mind for the most horrible memory or thought to manifest itself into. Eko and Locke didn't run away and show any fear, (probably due to their faith) the monster did not attack them. What the "smoke monster" is, I haven't a clue yet.
Who's the man with the patch? Dunno, but looks kinda like the guy who brought desmond to the hatch.
Desmon's girlfriend is looking for him, there was a scientific team in antartica who picked up the magnetic discharge when the hatch imploded who called her about their readings.
The plane that they were all aboard on had cargo from the Dharma Inst. It can been seein in the first episode in the background.
Hugo's (Hurley) accountant told him that he now owned a box company? As in the one Locke worked for. Plus the crazy guy who hurely got the numbers from was a radar operator in the Navy. I bet he heard the numbers being broadcast by the French lady.
Anyone else a fan? _________________ Moholler,
